Convoy is coming to Nuneaton, my home town

What is CONVOY?

Convoy will be a series of gloriously coloured, large scale, vinyl artworks, wrapped around the surfaces of articulated lorry trailers. Displaying what it means to be working here (in N&B) right now, at the leading edge of a creative, sustainable, technological and economically bright future.

A travelling showcase of beauty and greatness featuring the innovative industrial Nuneaton landscape and its people today, informed by conversations with local people in the workplace.

Parked together providing a ‘one time only’ chance to see the vibrant artworks close up, as a sprawling town centre installation brought together as part of  ‘Art On The Streets’ presented by GRIT in August 2024.

A spectacular day of street art, theatre, performance and music created and performed by artists and local people will culminate in Convoy exiting the town centre before heading out onto the roads and motorways, travelling the country as working vehicles, transporting goods across the Uk and into Europe. Taking the best of Nuneaton’s pride and innovation to new places, providing conversation and wonder nationally and internationally.

What will Convoy do?

Convoy will focus on innovative industries and people based in Nuneaton, their workforce and workplace. With a particular focus on those that are sustainable and are conscious of their impact on the planet by developing and using new, sustainable, renewable and ecological materials and green processes locally, nationally and globally.

How can I get involved?

Alisha is fascinated in the unseen stuff that goes on in warehouses, transportation, logistics, food production, manufacturing and engineering, as well as unique and personal small scale business’s operating locally on Nuneaton’s doorstep.
